You’re
Outta Here!
By John Didymus Pope
YOU have heard an umpire in a baseball
game tell a manager or coach, and/or a player those words, "You're outta
here".Have you not? It must be embarrassing, to say the least. I have seen
managers get thrown out of a game and he would get so frustrated, he would kick
dirt on the umpires shoes, or on to the home plate, or throw a bunch of bats
out on to the playing field, or spill gator -aid buckets out, or even throw his
hat at the umpire. It makes you want to, "Wail and gnash your teeth."
Wailing and gnashing your teeth is a
proof to some, that when you die a sinner, you go to a firey "HELL",
where satan the devil is and demons and all other sinners. If you think about
it, satan never was in such a place, but he was in heaven, as "Lucifer",
the head of Arc Angels, Isaiah 14:12. "How art thou fallen from heaven, O
Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, You who
weakened the nations! v.13. For you have said in your heart: "I will
ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will also
sit on the mount of the congregation, On the farthest sides of the north; v.14.
I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the most
high." Sound like, "Santa Claus'? (Look in the dictionary and see who
"Old Nick" is And then canonized by the catholic church.v.15. Yet you
shall be brought down to Sheol, (Pit), To the lowest depths of the pit.
Satan said 5 times here, "I". Like the manager who
argued with umpire, was thrown out of the game, no longer has the power to call
the shots, or make strategic decisions, the player tossed out of a game, must
play by baseball rules, or leave the playing field. Taken clear out of the game
in every manner. He is not even allowed to sit with the fans. Sometimes the
managers are really, after "Instant replay," right, and the umpire is
in fact, wrong. But once a decision is made , it is final. A judgment call is
what makes the umpire right. What can be more frustrating than to be
"Thrown out" of a game? In baseball, the only worst frustration is to
lose the game.
There is one thing that made me pray and
study the Bible more. I read Matthew 7:21-24. In verse 23, "And then I
will declare to them, "I never knew you." (Notice it doesn't say,
"I do not know you any more."?) Wow, that really scared me when I
first read that. The implications are, not only was I tossed out of the game, I
was never in the game. Now that would make a person, "Wail and gnash
his/her teeth." Lets read Matthew
You might say I argued with the umpire.
But I was only arguing scripture, as a pentecostal does when something is
contrary to what they believe, or any church doctrine or organization for that
matter. My greatest rude awakening was the fact that I not only wasn't in the
game to be thrown out, I was never even in the ball park. What a rude awaking I
received after I read Matthew 7: 21-29. "What if Christ never knew me?"
I subconsciously asked my self. I always say when asked, "Where you ever a
member of the World-wide Church of God?"I answer this way, "No, they
fired me before they hired me." Why would I say that? I asked a Worldwide
Church of God minister once as I let him know I was receiving Garner Ted
Armstrong's tapes and literature, on a weekly basis, "If I have these
tapes in my home and listen to them, Can I join your organization?" The
astonishing answer was, "Well, we would have to set an appointment and talk
about it." I told the minister that, that was not scriptural". So I
wonder if Jesus at the well with the Samaritan lady, or the man with the
withered hand, or the harlot that wiped His feet with her hair after she wept
tears on His feet, or the woman that touched His garment and Jesus felt the
virtue (Power) flow out of Him, or a lot of times Jesus was confronted, I
wonder if Jesus wants an "Interview" with everyone the Father calls,
to His Truth? If that minister was an umpire and we were in a baseball game, I
would have been banned from baseball, 8 balled, black balled, fined, sued, and
probably crucified, most assuredly excommunicated.
........After being pentecostal, I often
wondered if I would not have returned to pentecostalisim. The Sabbath and Gods
Holy days settled that for me. I know the rules(10 Commandments) now, I cannot
argue with the umpire, (God the Father) and (Jesus) the base umpire, no, their
rules are set, and when I am wrong there are no arguments. If Jesus would
return and say to me, "I never knew, you." I think I would go looking
fore some ministers. And I would be wailing and gnashing my teeth. That is what
the Bible means by, "Wailing and gnashing of teeth." But a lot of
churches tell people that that is what happens in "Hell Fire". Wrong!
Read Matthew 24:4-5. And Jesus answered
and said to them: "Take heed that no one deceives you.v.5. "For many
will come in My name, (In the Authority of Jesus, and using His name) (emphasis
mine) ...saying , 'I am Christ', (Saying that Jesus is the Christ), Some people
do claim they are Jesus, but not many), ...and will deceive many."When I
compared that with Matthew 7:21-29, it scared the HELL out of me and I began
obeying the 10 Commandments, even this one, (4th) "Remember the Sabbath
day, to keep it Holy......, Exodus 20"8-11. And reasoning within my heart
that God the Father is the plate umpire and Jesus is the base umpire, and he
not only says "Your outta here", They will say. "I never knew
you." That means I was NEVER in the game in the first place. Think of it,
John 5:39. "You search the scriptures, for in them you think you have
eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me " THESE means these
scriptures, the ones in Gods word, the Bible, study the Sabbath and Gods Holy
days, not the pagan holidays of Christmas, Easter, Halloween and many others.
Don't be thrown out of the game, once you are in it, obey the 10 Commandments.
